Larkin Enterprises, Inc. (LEI) is pleased to announce the newest addition to our team, Bruce Morrison. Bruce has worked for us off and on for a number of years as an I&C Technician, and has most recently served as an organizer for IBEW Local 136, of which he is a current member in good standing.
Bruce’s new role as Project Manager for LEI will allow him to help us better serve the needs of Southern Company and other clients, utilizing his knowledge of the utility system and his understanding of the local work force. He will be our local agent in the southeastern region, based out of Birmingham, with all the authority to conduct business on our account.
Larkin Enterprises, Inc. is ramping up staffing support at Consumers Energy JH Campbell Plant to support the Air Quality Control System (AQCS) upgrades. Personnel include Test Engineers, Construction Managers, Operational Procedure Writers, I&C Field Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Project Schedulers, Safety Managers, Test Procedure Writers and Construction Coordinators.
Larkin Enterprises, Inc. has been awarded a three-year contract for Electrical and Instrumentation for all of Southern Companies’ fossil plants in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi.
Larkin Enterprises, Inc. successfully completes startup and commissioning activities on Xcel Energy’s Clean Air Clean Jobs initiative at the Cherokee Generating Station in Denver, CO. The new Combined Cycle Power Plant consists of (2) GE 7FA.05 gas turbines, (2) Nooter Erickson Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and (1) GE D11 compound steam turbine.
Work on the Black Hills Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle Power Plants in Pueblo Colorado have been completed! 25 Pipefitters from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 58 installed over Four Thousand Feet of Instrument tubing and over One thousand Instruments. I & C Technicians, from various UA and IBEW locals, calibrated and tested these instruments. Larkin worked jointly with FPD Power Development and their Electricians from Local 12 to ensure a complete and quality installation.
With the help of Larkin electrical support, Kibby Mountain Wind Project was successfully commissioned!
The Fire Island Wind Project in Cook Inlet, Alaska has come online. It is currently the state’s largest wind project. Larkin Enterprises is proud to have provided Electrical Management for the project.
