ABB-CE

CHINA – Shaijo Project
Larkin Enterprises, Inc. ( LEI ) provided Start-up Manager and Engineers for three 600 Mega-watt Coal Burning Power Plants.

ABB-T&D

MARION, IL – Southern Illinois Power Co-Op – $400 million project
Electrical construction of a new161kV switchyard, configured in 4″rigid ringbus with 6 bays of switching for outgoing and incoming lines for integrating two new gas turbines into Southern Illinois Power Co-Op distribution system. Scope of work includes: grounding, cabletrench and conduits, high voltage electrical equipment installation, relay protection & communication wiring, control building, testing and commissioning. This project also entails the electrical modifications to an existing detached 161kV switchyard, including a new control building, relay and protection equipment, with new 161kV line drops.

ALSTOM POWER

BELLINGHAM, MA – Bellingham Energy Project – $800 million project
Supplied staff personnel, including discipline construction managers, project control personnel, cost control engineers, and schedulers for 560mW combined cycle powerplant. Provided commissioning support including start-up engineers, instrument and control technicians, and construction craft support.

Electrical construction work included installation of iso-phase buss, grounding grid, and external and internal equipment grounding.

KILLINGLY, CT – Lake Road Project – $1.1 billion project
LEI Supplied staff personnel including discipline construction managers, project control personnel, cost control engineers, and schedulers for 720mW combined cycle powerplant. Commissioning support included start-up engineers, instrument and control technicians, and construction craft support.

Electrical Support: Completed all Construction, Terminations, and Testing to allow Energization of 345KV Switchyard. Installed all Electrical wiring and apparatus for the ACC units. (Air Cooled Condensers)

BLACKSTONE, MA – Blackstone Energy Project – $700 million project
Supplied staff personnel to include discipline construction managers,project control personnel, schedulers and commissioningsupport personnel for this 560mW combined cycle power plant. Commissioning support included engineers, instrument and control technicians, and construction craftsupport.

Installation and Calibration of all Process Control Instruments.

MASSENA, NY
LEI supported installation of boiler units at ALCOA Aluminum Plant in Massena, NY.

BECHTEL POWER CORPORATION

WESTON, MO – First Energy Sammis Project – $2.5 billion
I&C Startup and commissioning support for the Sammis Power Project.

CIANBRO

WISCASSET, ME – Spent Fuel Island Project January – October 1998
LEI supplied Staff to include Planners, Electrical Engineers, Schedulers, and Instrumentation and Control Technicians for Modification of the Spent Fuel Pool as a “Stand Alone” system. Redesigned and developed installation and testing instructions for the Primary Vent Stack particulate and tritium sampling system to meet decommissioned plant regulatory requirements. Work in the field included: Writing FCN’s, work package closeout, ordering of material and adherence to all Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines. Work Package preparation and field implementation included: a 115KV/480V distribution system, weatherproof distribution bus, 480V MCC, pumps, HVAC systems, cooling tower, PLC (programmable logic controller) controls, fire alarm and security system. Designed and installed Control Room and Fire Protection interfaces with the PLC.

CONSUMERS ENERGY

COVERT, MI – PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT
Larkin Enterprises, Inc. ( LEI ) provided Craft Supervision, Craft personnel, transportation, tools, and equipment for the scaffolding and shielding program at the Palisades Nuclear Plant during the Fall 1999 Refueling outage.

EMI/CALPINE

RUMFORD, ME
LEI provided Union Carpenters and Millwrights, Start-up Engineers and Instrumentation and Control Technicians to support construction and start-up of a Combined Cycle gas turbine plant.

Tiverton, RI
LEI provided Project Managers, Schedulers, Electrical and I&C Supervision, Certified Welders, Fitters and Craft Technicians for installation and commissioning of Instrumentation and Switch yard Protective Relays on a Conbined Cycle GE-Mark 5 Power Plant.

ENTERGY

PLYMOUTH, MA – Pilgram Station
LEI has an ongoing contract to provide Instrumentation and Control and Electrical Engineering support at Pilgrim Station. Support also included Review and upgrade of the Instrument Set Point Calculation Program and the Plant Life Extension.

EXELON

EVERETT, MA and N. WEYMOUTH, MA – Raytheon Company/Washington Group – $1.5 Billion project
Two (2) Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Combined Cycle Plants: Eachplant consists of two (2) MHI GasTurbines (240 Megawatts each) /one (1) MHI Steam Turbine (300 Megawatts) using Deltak HRSG’s. LEI is supplying personnel to include craft supervision, Instrument and Control Technicians, and Electricians. Instrument Techs and Electricians are assisting Start-Up Engineers with construction completion and commissioning of Combined Cycle Plants.

FLORIDA POWER CORPORATION

CRYSTAL RIVER, FL
LEI provided Instrumentation and Control and Electrical Engineering support (including “Loop Accuracy Calculations”, etc.) for Framatone Technologies.

GEORGIA PACIFIC CORPORATION

OLD TOWN, ME – Biomass Boiler Relocation – $50 million project
Foundation and Slab-on-Gradefor #6 Biomass Boiler Relocation Project at the Old Town Mill. Additional scope included cooling tower pipe installation, switchyard foundation and field engineering.

KCPL / KIEWIT

WESTON, MO – IATAN Power Project – $2.5 billion project
I&C Startup and commissioning support for the Iatan Power Project.

LIFETIME FITNESS

ELLISVILLE, MO – FCA Construction – $4 million project
Construction Support for the building of a large fitness center.

MAINE YANKEE

WISCASSET, ME – Control Room Design Change January – October 1998
Larkin Enterprises, Inc. ( LEI ) provided Staff to include Planners, Electrical Engineers, and Schedulers for Main Control Room relocation to facilitate decommissioning. Moved Meteorological system instrumentation from the existing Control Room to the New Control Room including original system “as-built”, new cabinet layout, and actual instrument removal and installation.

WISCASSET, ME – Restart 1997
LEI supported Maine Yankee with all disciplines of Engineering and Instrumentation and Controls Technicians, work package Planners, and Schedulers. This was a major restart effort which encountered and resolved many discrepancies identified by NRC audits, including cable separation and High Line Break modifications and NRC generic letter 96-01 testing.

MSE POWER SYSTEMS, INC

MANITOBA, CANADA – Buffalo Gap Wind Project – $1 million project
Currently performing installation of 235Kv Switchyard for the Bison Wind Power Project (Wind Farm).

Ongoing staff augmentation.

MYR POWER

KILLINGLY, CT – Lake Road Project
LEI provided the Installation and Calibration of all instrumentation for three units, including instrument tubing and electrical conduits and cable. Support Craft for Scaffolding, Carpentry, Site cleaning, and Punch-List items.

NEBRASKA POWER

BROWNVILLE, NE – COOPER STATION
LEI provided Nebraska Power with Planning, Scheduling, Engineering, and Construction Management for the Optimum Water Chemistry Project at Cooper Nuclear Station.

Project tasks included: Preparation of a feasibility study which dealt with the probability of failure of reactor components and their associated repair/replacement costs, Presentation to the Nebraska Public Power District Board of Directors for the implementation of the Optimum Water Chemistry (OWC) system which included Capital Cost Justification versus Repair/Replacement costs, Contract Preparation, Overall project Scheduling, Management of start-up and test, project turn over to operations and maintained control.

NORTHEAST UTILITIES

MILLSTONE, CT
LEI supplied Engineers, Designers, and support Craft to facilitate the decommissioning of Millstone Unit 1 in Connecticut.

PSEG NY

GLENMONT, NY – Bethlehem Energy Project – $750 million project
LEI has on ongoing contract for Startup and Commissioning of the Power Plant, as well as construction support.

PUBLIC SERVICE OF NEW MEXICO (PNMR)

WATERFLOW, NM – San Juan Generating Complex – $320 million project
I&C Startup and commissioning support for San Juan Plant Coal burning plant, Units 1 & 2.

REED & REED CONSTRUCTORS

WESTERN MAINE – Trans Canada – Kibby Mountain Wind Project – $150 million project
Install 44 3 MW Wind Turbines on the Kibby Mountain Range.

VENTUS ENERGY SYSTEMS

GRAND MEADOWS, MN – Horizon Energy – Prairie Star Wind Farm – $250 million project
Electrical Support for wind farm tower wiring and substation construction, testing and commissioning

WISCONSIN ELECTRIC

POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT April 1999 – Present
Larkin Enterprises, Inc. ( LEI ) supported the successful Re-Start effort. Providing an on-going staff augmentation to include Planners, Engineers, Quality Control Inspectors, Supervisors, and supporting Craft.

WISVEST CORPORATION

BRIDGEPORT, CT – September 1999 – Present
LEI provided on-going staff augmentation including Planners, Electrical Field Engineers, Instrumentation and Control Technicians and Construction Management.

Projects include: The refurbishment of Air Operated Control Valves and Motor Operated Valves during the Fall 1999 outage. Engineered control changes to upgrade Air Operated Controls to State of the Art digital programmable controls. Supervised the removal, rebuild, and reinstallation of Limit torque MOV’s. Set limits, Torque switches and functional tested valves. Engineered installation of new motor starters for valves. Continually troubleshooting and repairing various Electrical and Instrumentation Systems.

XCEL ENERGY

BAYPORT, MN – AS King Plant – $600 million project
I&C Startup and commissioning support for the MERP (Metropolitan Emissions Redeuction Project) for a Super-Critical Coal Burner.

PUEBLO, CO – Comanche Plant – $2.3 billion project
I&C Startup and commissioning support for Comanche Unit 1 Coal burning plant.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Riverside Repowering Project – $250 million project
I&C Startup and commissioning support for the RVRP (Riverside Repowering Project) for a Combined Cycle Power Plant.
